My Wonderful Idea

I have notices a sharp decline in my blog hits over the past few weeks. This could be caused by my lack of posts or the fact that I went private. I bet it has a lot to do with both. In my defense I have been sick all weekend with streptococcus (strep throat). I picked up this bacteria infection from Mindy, who got it from her nephew, who got it from some other family member who has yet to be determined. I started to feel sick late Friday night. Then I sat around miserable all day Saturday while Mindy when into urgent care. I'm just way too cheap to pay the $40 bucks and then the $15 dollar copay for a prescription. So I was planning to suffer until today and go into the doctor and pay $30 for the whole shebang. Saving me a total of $25 bucks. Well, not to brag but last night while I was on deaths door I had a wonderful idea. I didn't know if it would work but I was so miserable I thought I would give it a try. I called the assigned doctor on my insurance card, whom I have never seen, and told her my symptoms. She simply called in a prescription to my local CVS. I went in and picked up the prescription about 20 minutes later. As luck would have it I had a CVS gift card and so my prescription was free! I am now on the road to recovery. Genius!

Cinderella

We were putting away laundry the other day and Paige was helping me. I asked her to take some of her pants and put them in her drawer. She caught me off guard when she responded, "Yes Stepmother!" OK, I'll roll with it. I responded, "Cinderella, could you please take your socks too?!" Paige, "Of course Stepmother, but you need to talk to me in your angry voice." I now have a new system for getting the laundry done in my house. I'm the wicked stepmother and Paige is Cinderella. She'll do anything IF she gets to go to the ball! LOL

Resolutions

This post is a little out of order, and late. Tomorrow I am going to post my Christmas pictures. Stay tuned!

My new years resolutions is very simple. DO LESS! I want to focus on things I am already doing, and do them better. I feel like I've been being pulled this way and that lately. So why make more resolutions when I am already halfheartedly doing so many of my everyday tasks? I want to do less this year so that I have time to focus on the important things I am already trying to do. This will be a challenge seeing how I have a "save the world" personality and am constantly trying to do too much. Here goes, wish me luck...

A Year in Review

Creepy Phone Message

So we decided to go private after a really creepy phone message. I woke up on Friday morning and there was a new message on our answering machine that came sometime in the middle of the night. It was a really freaky message that turned out to be a recording from a James Patterson novel. That is what the police told us. Trevor went out and got a new lock for our front door. It is one that goes up really high so the kids can't open the door. I decided I don't want cute little pics of my kids online for the world to see. I hate feeling scared and paranoid. Hope you all understand. I know it's a pain.

Going Private
