Good Reads....

What a joke! I am so annoyed at all of you who have time to read. Seriously, where do you find the time? Do you lock your kids in the basement or what? Maybe I am just not getting something. Maybe I am a horrible time waster. All I know is when I check my email and see that everyone of my friends has read a million books since the last time I checked my email I get a little discouraged. (yes, that was an obtrusive run on sentence!) Am I missing some amazing secret on how to better manage my life?

  2. i only have one child. therefore i read when she goes down for a nap. i don't know what i will do in the future. i guess make a list of what you want to read and save it for when the kids are gone. now is the time to just enjoy the kids.

  3. Read a book? What the heck is that? I haven't done that since college and wonder myself how people have time for book clubs and reading and then reading another book... Oh those great mysteries we're waiting to be revealed =o)

  4. K, Robyn - I'll tell you how it's done. Just read! I read at the pool when my kids are swimming, I read after they go to bed, I read BEFORE they go to bed! Have you seen my blog at all this summer? That's why I've had butter smeared on walls, hand soap used as shampoo - while NOT in the tub, and black nail polish all over the carpet! (Actually, none of those things happened while I was reading a book, but you get the idea).

  5. Oh yeah, and the busy mom's best friend is the audio book. I listen to so many of the books on my Good Reads list as I'm driving around town with the kids in tow. We don't leave for a long trip without at least a couple of long audio books in tow. . .
