G-A-double R-E-double T

...will be 18 months old in two days.  Garrett is beloved by all in the family.  He has been so different than my other two children in personality.  It's been like being a mother again for the first time.  I guess in a way every time you have a new baby it seems a little like that, but with Garrett that feeling has been stronger.  He is my joy in so many ways.

One of the things I love most is his laid back style.  He's so whatever and go with the flow, happy and calm all the time.  As I'm typing this he is going through my dirty laundry pulling on clothes.  Before I snapped this shot I removed a pair of undies from his head.

I think it is really funny that he has a vocabulary of about 5 words and yet we mostly understand each other.  If I don't understand his nods, points, and grunts.  If I still don't understand he just takes my finger in his chubby little hand and pulls me to what he wants.  No need for silly words!  He follows me around the house and calls "Mooooom Mooooooooooooooom."  Yes, like the cow sound.  Carson and Paige have always called me Mama so it makes me laugh.  We were watching a family video the other day.  In the video Paige was 9 months old and she was repeating so many words and we were pointing to things and she was saying words.  It is just so funny how different kids can be.  I remember Carson talked much earlier too.  Carson also had a strong will from an early age.  Garrett is totally mellow about everything.  Here's picture of Garrett being chill in his favorite position...
